This Magic Kingdom Meet and Greet Is Closing Earlier Than Expected!

Heads up for those visiting Disney World in 2026 and who love meeting your favorite characters — there’s a meet and greet spot closing temporarily EARLIER than originally planned!

Over in Magic Kingdom, one of the best spots to meet some of the members of the Fab 5 is Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus. Starting in early 2026 though, part of this spot will close for a refurbishment, and we don’t have a reopening date just yet.

Disney has officially announced on their website that Meet Daring Disney Pals as Circus Stars at Pete’s Silly Sideshow, which is the side with Donald and Goofy, will be closed beginning on January 4th, 2026 — that’s one day sooner than originally planned.

But if you still want to meet Donald and Goofy, not to worry — they’ll be greeting guests elsewhere in Storybook Circus during the closure.

The other side of this meet and greet, with Minnie and Daisy, will also be temporarily unavailable starting January 4th. Daisy and Minnie are set to meet with guests in Storybook Circus while this closure is happening.

At this time, there’s no ending date listed for this refurbishment. At the time of writing, the attraction calendar goes out to February 25th, and there are no times listed at all after January 4th. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out, though!

This refurbishment joins Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, which are both expected to open later in 2026, and Cinderella Castle will also be undergoing a repaint starting in January. Not to mention that Villains Land and Piston Peak are also under construction, so it’s safe to say that construction is happening in a LOT of places in this park!
