Disney is busy blowing our MINDS right now! They just showed us a brand-new look at Olaf roaming around the World of Frozen and even told us some behind-the-scenes information on major ride changes.

As we were reading through tons of Disney’s news, we spotted a subtle hint that Disney could be working on something major for the upcoming Villains Land in Magic Kingdom. Fans of Disney’s Hercules need to buckle up for this one!
Did Disney just hint at a major animatronic coming to the parks? They recently shared tons of insight into new projects coming to the theme parks around the globe, including brand new technology that’s bringing Olaf to life. In that news drop, we also spotted something that made our eyes go wide!

While talking about different audio animatronics, Disney shares that the current technology lets Imagineers bring characters to life more quickly and accurately than ever before. They also wrote that this technology is “especially transformative for characters who have traditionally challenging features to create, like Mike Wazowski, Lightning McQueen, or Hades.” DID YOU SAY HADES?!

Is this Disney’s subtle way of telling us they’re working on a Hades animatronic? Currently, the company is busy developing tons of new lands like Piston Peak, Monsters Inc. Land, and Villains Land. Lightning McQueen has been shown in some older concept art regarding Piston Peak, so that drop isn’t a major surprise.

Disney has also shared a look at Mike Wazowski and Sulley on the new suspended coaster coming to the park, so again, not a major hint in our opinion. Although this doesn’t necessarily confirm this scene will feature an animatronic.

One thing Disney has remained incredibly tight-lipped about is the new Villains Land, though. They’ve shown us some inspiration and overall concept art, but we don’t know any major details at this point. Or do we?! Does this comment tell us that Hades will be made into an animatronic for the new land?

While we can’t know for sure, we’re taking this as a sign that we’re going to be seeing the Lord of the Underworld in a way we’ve never seen him before. While we think it would be super cool to see him roaming, we would assume the character is a bit too big for that at this point. Our best guess would be that Hades could be part of a ride queue or an attraction similar to Ursula on Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid or Mr. Potato Head over at Toy Story Mania.

We’re really eager to see if this hilarious and scary villain comes to life once the land finally opens! At the time of writing, Disney has not given an opening timeline for the new area behind Big Thunder Mountain. Be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates!
