Millions of Floridians are hitting the road over the next week for holiday travel, causing gas prices to spice. The average price of a gallon of gas in Florida as of December 26th is $3.12 — a whopping 26 cents higher than the week prior.

AAA Analysts have stated that “robust gas demand and elevated oil prices” have caused United States prices this winter.

It was predicted that a record 6.6 million Floridians would be traveling 50 miles or more from home this holiday season. Not only that, but as more drivers continue to head to their destinations, analysts are expecting prices at the pump to continue fluctuating through the end of the year.
