Only Disney World Experts Know About These Top Secret Spots in Hollywood Studios

Listen, we’re not the gatekeepers of Disney World tips and tricks. We make sure to share them with you!

Galaxy’s Edge

We love telling you all of the secrets we know because it helps you to have a much more fulfilling experience at the parks. We’ve told you about secret places in Animal Kingdom and now we’re here to tell you about some “top secret” places in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Hollywood Studios has a TON of things for you to do, and it can get pretty busy here, which might have you thinking that there’s nowhere to hide from the crowds. But that’s not necessarily the case. Here are a couple of “top secret” spots that only Disney World Experts know about!

The Wedding Venue Inside PizzeRizzo

While it may not have the best food in the park, we love PizzeRizzo for a very specific reason. The atmosphere is fun — especially for Muppets fans — and it does offer a ton of indoor and outdoor seating, which could be helpful in the summer.

Rizzo’s Deluxe Supreme Banquet Hall

If you’ve never been upstairs, you’ll find Rizzo’s Deluxe Supreme Banquet Hall. And guess what? There’s a wedding reception already in progress! You can join the party and show off your best moves under the disco ball to the world’s greatest party playlist!

Muppet Courtyard Outdoor Seating

Speaking of the Muppets, it may not seem like it but, the outdoor seating that is in between PizzeRizzo and Muppet Vision 3-D is a pretty “secret” place.

It’s a spot where they’ve packed the umbrellas in there side-by-side, but if you get gelato at the gelato cart, it’s really a magical little shaded oasis

Tower of Terror Exit

The Tower of Terror is a great spot to go to on the regular, but if you happen to be by the exit at just the right time, it can be pretty magical.

Hey Goofy!

Every so often, that exit area where Joffrey’s is will occasionally be a rare character meet and greet location. So not only does it boast low crowd levels, but you can also see some of your favorite characters if you’re lucky!

BaseLine Tap House

There are pretzels and then there are “good” pretzels, and those later ones are found at BaseLine Tap House.

But for it being such a cool place (don’t get us started on the Barrilitos Strawberry Hibiscus soda or the craft beers), it’s usually never swamped — which gives it a “secret” place kind of feel.

Lightning McQueen Racing Academy

If you’ve never walked past the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at the end of Sunset Boulevard, you’ve probably never even heard of the Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. (It’s a show with Lightning, Tow Mater, Cruz Ramirez, and more of the Cars gang, where as the newest racing recruits, you’ll take a spin on the training race simulator.)

So it already has the feel of a “top secret” spot, but it also has a set of bathrooms that people don’t often know about. You may want to keep that bit of knowledge in your back pocket if you’re looking for a bathroom that is off the beaten path.

Backlot Express

Don’t sleep on this eatery. If you make sure to head over to the little corner of outdoor seating at Backlot Express closest to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, you’ll have found another “top secret” spot.

Here’s a great location where you can watch the sets moving and hear all of the action over at the Stunt Spectacular — making it kind of a cool dinner theater experience for free.

Sid Cahuenga’s One-of-a-Kind Antiques and Curios

This last one is definitely a secret spot that goes totally unnoticed. Right at the front of the park, you’ve got Sid Cahuenga’s One-of-a-Kind Antiques and Curios.

You usually stop here for your PhotoPass needs, however, let’s say that you’re in dire need of a seat with good a/c and wifi, you can’t pass this place up! Just make sure you’re not there at the same time as a pin trading-palooza.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of the more popular parks in Disney World, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find a good place to relax for a minute. Check out one of these “secret spots” next time you’re there!
