Rise of the Resistance is CLOSED in Disney World

We have been watching Christmas week crowds stack up at all the Disney World parks today. And now, one of the rides that traditionally has the longest waits is CLOSED — messing up the timing of Lightning Lanes and extending waits.

While Christmas Day crowds seemed to be down at Disney World, today the parks have filled up — with many rides having wait times of more than 100 minutes. And now, Rise of the Resistance is closed.

A Cast Member at Disney’s Hollywood Studios said the ride was expected to be down for at least an hour, if not more.

Rise of the Resistance is a popular ride for people to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes for. So what if you have reserved a ride, and now the ride is down?

Keep your eye on the My Disney Experience app. Your Lightning Lane time should update with a new time to return, once the ride comes back up. If this doesn’t happen, or you have any questions, head over to the attraction and ask a cast member for help.
