And now, it’s time for another Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana update! There were lots of announcements about the upcoming attraction at the D23 Expo, and the last time we checked in, we saw the rocks in the attraction were beginning to be painted different colors. Now a new color has joined the mix — we see green!

As a quick reminder, this attraction will be a walk-through featuring interactive elements inspired by Moana such as an exploration trail and multiple water features — including waterfalls according to the concept art!

In this photo from September 12th, you can see that one set of rocks is painted brown, while another set is still gray.

But as of this week…we’re seeing green on top of some of the rock sets!

Look at that green!

Now they’re really starting to look even more realistic. In addition to more painting, it seems other areas are still cleared to continue building the rest of the attraction.

What will take up that space?

Lots of progress is being made on other Disney World attractions too. More pavement is being laid at the entrance to TRON, Roundup Rodeo BBQ is still moving along, and it looks like the PLAY! Pavilion has been getting some love too.
