The Crowds in Disney World Right Now Will SHOCK You

Ummm…where is everyone?

Empty Walkways Are Nice To See

We’re not complaining, but seriously — where did everyone go?! Yeah, wait times have been decreasing, but a sold-out Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is taking place tonight. So we should be seeing some more people around the resort, right?! And honestly, if we weren’t seeing these low crowds with our own eyes, we probably wouldn’t believe it. So take a look for yourself!

We’ll focus on Magic Kingdom for a second. There’s so much room for activities (a Step Brothers reference for you)! Fantasyland was pretty clear…

So Clear!

…and the walkways were open in Frontierland. Have you ever seen this?!

We Can Walk…Freely?!

And check out the wait times while we were there in the afternoon — 5 minute waits for The Barnstormer, Thunder Mountain(!!!), Dumbo, and “it’s a small world”.

Wait times fell between 25 and 60 minutes on Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Peter Pan. But you guys — 40 minutes for the Mine Train and 60 for Peter Pan? Unheard of in the summer.

Meet-and-greets were easy to access, with only 25 minute waits. Splash Mountain was 25 minutes and Jungle Cruise was 30 minutes.

Space Mountain was just as long of a wait as Astro Orbiter and Mickey’s PhilharMagic — 15 minutes. Mickey and Minnie’s Town Square Theater meet-and-greet and Haunted Mansion were higher, coming in at 20 and 25 minutes, respectively.

5-10 minute waits for Carousel of Progress, Space Ranger Spin, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tomorrowland Speedway, and the PeopleMover.

And only 5 minute waits for Mad Tea Party, Magic Carpets, Monsters Inc., Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, and Journey of the Little Mermaid.

It wasn’t just Magic Kingdom either! Over in EPCOT, a Cast Member shared that Soarin’ is still technically testing single rider, but it’s not being offered today because of how empty the park is. They went on to say the ride hasn’t gone above a 15 minute wait. Living with the Land was also a walk-on.

So if you’re in the parks around this time — congrats! Enjoy the emptier resort! We’re hoping these crowds (or lack thereof) continue! 1. That probably because it’s early morning opening. Don’t let Disney fool you it’s a ploy to get you to book. They are always crazy busy in September, October……been there many times.

  2. Yup, we were at the Halloween Party last night and arrived at 12pm as we had a reservation. It was much quieter through the day than at the party by a long shot. 35 minute queue for mine train? In reality it ended up being 20 minutes. Splash Mountain said 15 minutes, we walked on. Space Mountain said 15 as well, it was about 5 minutes.

  3. What are the chances these lower wait times hold through this weekend? I assume they’ll go up – but should I expect them to go way up?
