As the situation with COVID-19 continues to change and develop, AllEars will be bringing you the latest relevant news that could affect a theme park visit.
The global pandemic is still affecting many countries around the world.

It has had a huge impact on travel, as well as supply chain issues and inflation. Many countries are monitored by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in terms of their risk for travelers, and now, we have an update for you on the latest destinations in the “high” risk category.
Azerbaijan has been moved to Level 3, the “high” risk category, by the CDC, according to CNN. There are now more than 125 places in Level 3, which is more than half of all of the places monitored by the CDC.
Level 3 is the highest level right now as Level 4 is only reserved for special circumstances. The locations in this category have had more than 100 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days. Places in this category include Spain, Norway, Japan, France, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

What has stayed the same is the CDC’s advisory for travelers. They recommend that you be up to date on your COVID-19 vaccines and boosters before traveling internationally.

Some destinations were moved around in the lower levels as well — Level 2, “moderate” risk, and Level 1, “low” risk. Saba, an island in the Caribbean, and Morocco were both moved to Level 2. This level is for places that reported 50 to 100 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days. Morocco was actually moved down from Level 3, while Sabaa moved up from Level 1.
There are currently 20 places listed at Level 2 in terms of risk, including places like India and South Africa.

Level 1 has about 20 places in it right now, but no new destinations were added. This category is for places that have had 49 or fewer new cases per 100,000 residents over the past 28 days. Locations in this level right now include Egypt and China.

There is also an “unknown” category. This is for places where there isn’t enough information to asses the risk of traveling there. No new destinations were added to this category this week, but there are 70 places total listed as “unknown,” including places like Vietnam and Greenland.

We’ll keep you updated if any other locations are moved around within the risk levels.
