If you’re going on a cruise anytime soon, there is a lot to keep up with right now.

Since cruises returned last year, COVID-19 requirements have been constantly changing. And to make it more confusing each cruise line has different requirements depending on the length of sailing and vaccination status. We’ve broken down all of the COVID-19 requirements for each cruise line, but now there is a major update for Disney Cruise Line.

Disney Cruise Line will no longer require vaccinated passengers to test for COVID-19. Currently, all guests must present a negative COVID-19 test to board the ship.

This new policy will start on September 23rd, 2022 for sailings on the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, and Disney Wonder. However, if you are sailing on the Disney Magic, this policy does not go into effect until November 7th, 2022.

Anyone who is not fully vaccinated by the time they sail will still have to present a negative COVID-19 test before getting on the boat. The test must be taken one to three days before the sail date. Now, though, guests who are not fully vaccinated will NOT be required to take a second test at the terminal on embarkation day.

  1. Question… the article refers to ‘those who aren’t fully vaccinated’ as having separate protocols. I thought Disney was not allowing people to cruise unless they are fully vaccinated. So the reference to separate rules for non-fully vaccinated seems odd to me.
