A Fan-Favorite Ride and MORE Will Be CLOSED in Disney World This Week

Are you heading to Disney World for the holidays this year?

Magic Kingdom Crowds

Well, the crowds aren’t the only thing that might surprise you when you’re visiting the parks — there are also a few closures that you may not be anticipating! That’s why, here at AllEars, we bring you all the latest updates on what rides, shops, and hotels are under refurbishment and today we’ve got a look at everything that will be CLOSED between December 27th, 2021 to January 2nd, 2022!

Magic Kingdom Refurbishments

Walt Disney World Railroad

It’s been three years since the Walt Disney World Railroad has made its iconic loop around Magic Kingdom and it will still be much longer before this attraction reopens, as it is scheduled to remain closed throughout the week.

A portion of the track is currently being blocked in Tomorrowland due to the construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run. But, there have been reports of the attraction doing some testing in the park! So, if you’re visiting this week, you still might be able to see and hear the train in action (though it won’t have any passengers).

EPCOT Refurbishments

Souk-Al-Magreb

One of our favorite things to do in EPCOT is to explore all the small cultural shops in each World Showcase pavilion, but Souk-Al-Magreb (which is located in the Morocco Pavilion) has been unavailable for some time now.

Souk-al-Magreb is closed!

The closure will continue into this week with the expected reopening date currently set for February 6th, 2022.

And, that’s it for everything that will be closed this week in Disney World! Disney has announced more refurbishments that are scheduled to begin in Early 2022, however, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest updates!
