From time to time, certain attractions will be unavailable for maintenance and refurbishment in Disney World.
If you’re planning a visit to the parks (or even the resorts) it can be important to know about the ones that might impact your vacation. That’s why we keep you up to date with the latest Disney refurbishments here at AllEars! And, this week, we’re bringing you a look at everything that will be CLOSED from October 18th to October 24th, 2021. Let’s get to it!
Magic Kingdom Refurbishments
Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad has been unavailable for the past two years, and the closure is set to continue into next week as well.
Construction on the new roller coaster TRON: Lightcycle Run is currently blocking a portion of the train’s tracks, so it’s unclear exactly when guests will be able to take a ride around the park by train once again.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic
Last week, Mickey’s PhilharMagic began its month-long closure to make way for the brand new scene featuring characters from Pixar’s Coco. The attraction will reopen on November 11th, but for now, the entrance area is blocked off in Fantasyland.
But, you can already get a peek at what the new scene entails, as it debuted in Disneyland a few months ago!

EPCOT Refurbishments
Souk-al-Magreb
Over in EPCOT, the small shop in the Morocco Pavilion, Souk-al-Magreb will be closed this week as it undergoes a short refurbishment.
Disney’s refurbishments calendar has the store set to reopen on November 5th, so we’ll keep an eye out for what updates are to come here!
Disney Springs Refurbishments
Aerophile Balloon
And, an underrated attraction in Disney Springs — the Aerophile Balloon — is set to close for a short refurbishment beginning October 17th through October 27th.
If you’re not familiar, this is the large hot air balloon that takes guests up high above Disney Springs for some of the best ariel views of all four parks.
Disney World Resort Refurbishments
Quite a few projects have recently wrapped up in Disney World Resorts hotels, but this week there is one that will still continue. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort has been undergoing some refurbishments in the lobby area for a few months and the closure impacting the main lobby area will continue this week.
According to Disney’s website, construction has been pushed back a little bit and will now be completed sometime in late-October. So, if you’ll be staying here next week, be prepared to check-in at the temporary location just outside of the lobby in the port cochere.
Well, that’s a wrap on this week’s refurbishment update! We’ll continue to keep an eye out for all the latest updates and closures, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for more! As always, stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney news.
