Disney World’s new PAID system to “skip the lines” at attractions throughout all four parks is rolling out SOON and we’ve been bringing you all the latest details that you need to know!

Today, Disney has announced a FULL LIST of rides that will be included as part of Disney Genie+ and Individual Attraction Selection, shared additional pricing details, and more! And, now we have an answer to one of the most common questions fans are asking about Individual Attraction Selections — can you modify or cancel your reservation after you purchase?
As a quick refresher, Individual Attraction Selection is the new service that will enable guests to enter the new Lightning Lanes (aka the old FastPass lanes) at 8 of the most popular attractions throughout Disney World. And, unlike Disney Genie+ (which is a flat rate of $15 per person, per day), the pricing for Individual Attraction Selections will vary based on date, attraction, park.

As a quick reminder, here are all of the attractions that will be available as Individual Attraction Selections:
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom
- Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT
- Frozen Ever After in EPCOT
- Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Individual Attraction Selections cannot be purchased in advance of your Disney World trip and each guest can only make up to two selections per day. Plus, day guests will only be able to begin making their selections once they enter their first park unless they are staying at a Disney World Resort hotel (in which case they can make their selections at 7AM day of).

So, what happens if you make your Individual Attraction Selections and then want to change the reservation time or cancel? Well, Disney has announced that neither of these will be an option.
Guests will NOT be able to cancel their reservations to receive a refund and they will NOT be able to change their 1-hour return window once they have completed their purchase.

The only instance where modifications or cancellations will be allowed is in the case of a ride closure. So, if the ride that you selected is closed unexpectedly during your return window, you will be able to choose a different time. And, the only case where a refund will be issued is if the ride is closed all day.

For example, if you purchased a Lightning Lane reservation with a return time between 1-2PM at Rise of the Resistance, but the ride is temporarily closed throughout that period of time, then you will be able to return at a later time. But, if Rise of the Resistance is closed all day and you are unable to ride with your Lightning Lane reservation then you will receive a full refund.

So, you’ll want to keep this in mind when you’re making your Individual Attraction Selections, and be sure to select a time that does not conflict with any dining reservations or more that you may have.

Disney Genie (and all of free and paid features) will officially launch in Disney World on October 19th, 2021. Of course, we’ll continue to be on the lookout for more details and updates about the new service coming to Disney World in just a few weeks, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!

Are you looking forward to being able to bypass the standby line at popular attractions once again? Let us know in the comments!
OK, I understand you can try for an IAS at 7 am if you’re staying on site. But let’s say you’re not, and the park opens at 8 am, but you arrive early and enter the park at 7:30, do you have to wait until 8 or are you able to buy the pass as soon as you enter?
