Also opening March 4th is the new Mickey Shorts Theatre, which is located in the former home of Star Wars: Path of the Jedi! We got a first look at the exciting new addition to the park, and let’s just say that Mickey would be proud!
The new theater takes inspiration from Mickey’s iconic look. Specifically, his shorts! Red, yellow, and black dominate the aesthetic as you enter the theater, which has been renovated to reflect the new occupant — even the seats have that iconic Mickey Mouse design!
Check out those adorable seats!
Once you sit down, you’ll be treated to a brand new Mickey Mouse Short: Vacation Fun, which will be making its world premiere when the theatre opens tomorrow.
This short is a compilation of some of the most popular shorts in the series, including Potatoland, Crossant de Triomphe, and Yodelburg! The story features Mickey and Minnie getting ready to go on a vacation, and while Mickey is packing he relives some of his silly vacation adventures to places like China, Egypt, Switzerland, and Potatoland!
After you’re done viewing the short, you head into a room that has a bunch of cute Mickey Shorts inspired photo ops!
Our favorites were the ones inspired by Potatoland and Yodelberg!
The area also has a gift shop, where you can pick up some souvenirs featuring Mickey and the gang!
The Mickey theming also continues on your way out — check out these Mickey shorts-inspired exit doors!
Overall, we thought Mickey Shorts Theatre is a great place to sit down and cool off in the park with some entertainment for kiddos — especially when you want to do something you don’t need a FastPass for!
You can check out the Mickey Shorts Theatre starting tomorrow, March 4th, when it opens alongside Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Hollywood Studios!
