5 Things We Learned Riding Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets for the FIRST Time in Disney World!

Everyone buckle up! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets officially opens to all guests on May 26th, and we couldn’t be more excited.

However, we got the chance to ride it a little early during Cast Member previews, so here is a list of five things we learned after our very first ride!

#1 New Area Music

The first thing we noticed when walking into the new area was the change in music selection. It felt more pop punk and modern rock, and we found out that Pink, Radiohead, Tom Petty, Electric Mayhem, and Blondie are all part of the new background music soundtrack.

#2 An AMAZING OG Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Detail

We found out that when you ask for front row, they bring you to a separate waiting area, where you can see a blueprint for the L.I.M.O and on it says, “make it a stretch, make it a super stretch.” We were so excited to see one of our favorite pre-show quotes of all time make an appearance on this new ride.

# 3 Ride Vehicles

We were thrilled to see that our suspicions were correct and that the limo you ride on the attraction shares the same paint and design as the limo outside.

We thought this might be the case, but we are so happy to have it confirmed, and that Disney decided to make that detail extend both outside and on the ride itself!

# 4 So Many Easter Eggs

On our first ride, we noticed so many fun MuppetVision 3D and Muppet Courtyard details! We saw PizzeRizzo pizza boxes in the pre-show, and a large PizzeRizzo sign near the beginning of the ride that looked like an advertisement for the restaurant.

We also noticed that there was a Miss Piggy record that featured a “Huge, show-stopping, major song” referencing her quote from MuppetVision 3D. And even when they are trying to figure out how fast they can get to their show, you can hear Kermit say, “You’ve got a minute and a half,” once again calling back to one of his famous MuppetVision 3D Quotes.

#5 The Ride Itself

We noticed that the coaster itself feels mostly the same, but the signage has changed, and there are Muppets details EVERYWHERE. At the start of the ride, you get to see a video of Animal right before the launch.

Then, during the actual ride, there were palm trees with the Muppets’ faces on them, the Civic Center sign had Beaker on it, there was a funny chicken crossing sign, and SO many Electric Mayhem posters when you pull back into the station. And as we saw from the teaser video their are animatronics of Statler and Waldorf at the end of the ride as well.

Overall, we really loved this re-theme, and we can’t wait to keep riding and find more hidden details and Muppets lore, and we are so excited for everyone to experience this ride on May 26th.
