Sometimes the biggest glow-ups at Disney World happen in places you never expect to rave about.

Disney World bathrooms are something we all rely on, but rarely stop to appreciate unless something goes very wrong or very right. Over the years, we have seen some truly iconic restroom locations pop up around the parks, and 2025 has a very clear winner for most improved. If you have walked through Fantasyland recently, you might already know exactly which bathroom we are talking about.
Let’s give this extremely important honor to the Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms.
Yes, technically, these restrooms reopened in December 2024, but let’s be real here. Most guests barely had a chance to enjoy them before the year wrapped up, and they have truly shone throughout 2025. When it comes to recent Disney World bathroom refurbishments, this one stands out in a big way.

Back in January of last year, we noticed the Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms had closed for a lengthy refurbishment. These bathrooms serve not just the restaurant, but a massive stretch of Fantasyland, which made their closure feel extra noticeable. For most of 2024, guests had to rely on nearby options, and it honestly felt like something was missing in that corner of the park.

When the restrooms finally reopened, the difference was immediately obvious. First, the space itself feels larger. There are more stalls available now, which is a huge win in Fantasyland, where crowds build fast, and patience can disappear just as quickly. The layout feels more efficient and less cramped, which helps everything move along more smoothly during busy park days.

The theming is also a massive improvement. Inside, the restrooms now feel much more intentional and polished. The design gives off the same elevated fantasy vibe as the Tangled restrooms or Gaston’s Tavern bathrooms. (That comparison alone should tell you how big a leap this refurbishment was.) The walls resemble gray stone, topped with bold blue and red tiles that form stripes along the upper edges. The colors pop without being overwhelming, and they fit right into the storybook atmosphere of Fantasyland.

The counters and sink areas received upgrades as well. Everything matches the new decor, which makes the whole space feel cohesive instead of pieced together. There is also a very clear utilitarian element to the design. These bathrooms look like they were built to be easy to clean and maintain, which is exactly what you want in a high traffic location like this.

Even the exterior received some thoughtful updates. The signage outside now features wood-style signs labeled “Herren” for men and “Damen” for women, giving a subtle nod to the German village inspiration of Pinocchio Village Haus. Previously, the bathrooms were labeled “Prince” and “Princess,” and while that was cute, the new signage feels more immersive and intentional.

All of these changes together make this restroom feel like a destination bathroom, and yes, that is absolutely a thing at Disney World.

Since we are already deep into bathroom appreciation mode, let’s talk about another bathroom upgrade we have noticed across Disney World in 2025, and this one happens back at the hotels.

If you have stayed at a Disney World hotel recently, you might have noticed that the bathroom setup looks a little different. Some of the tiny bottles and tubes of toiletries have been replaced with pump dispensers for hand soap and lotion. We first spotted this change during a stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and we have to say, it feels like a solid upgrade.

There is still a bar of soap available in the room, which longtime Disney fans might appreciate, especially those of us who remember the days of Mickey-shaped soap. That said, the pump dispensers make hand washing easier and quicker, which feels like a practical improvement for most guests.

One thing to note is that the pump bottles do not list ingredients, so guests with allergies or sensitivities may still want to bring their own products just to be safe. Even so, this change feels like Disney responding to how guests actually use hotel bathrooms and adjusting accordingly.
When you put it all together, 2025 has quietly been a great year for Disney World bathrooms. The Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms absolutely earn our pick for most improved, and the hotel bathroom upgrades show that Disney is still paying attention to the small details that impact guest comfort.
We’ll keep an eye out for other changes in Disney World, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
