I Keep Going Back to Epic Universe’s Least Interesting Restaurant And You Should Too

I’m sharing my own personal dining hack in Epic Universe  — and you’re going to thank me for it later! I’ve visited Epic Universe more than anyone else on the AllEars team, which means I’m already skilled at spotting potential problems you might encounter on your visit before they even have a chance to occur.

Quincy and Sage

I’ve eaten at every single restaurant Epic Universe has to offer, ridden each of its rides, and shared my favorite tips and tricks for surviving a full day in the parks during peak summer heat. So if you’re curious about which Epic Universe restaurant I insist on returning to time and time again, my answer may come as a shock to you.

You won’t have to venture too far into Epic Universe to find one of my favorite restaurants in the entire park. You might be shocked to learn that, actually, it’s probably the least interesting restaurant in all of Epic Universe.

Meteor Astropub Refill station!

Meteor Astropub is the one Epic Universe restaurant I can’t seem to pull myself away from — and I’m not sure I’d have it any other way. While some might label it as the least interesting option in comparison to some of the other immersive restaurants around the other worlds, there are several reasons I can give you as to why this restaurant just can’t seem to disappoint. And now I’m offering up the secrets of my hidden gem in the hopes that you’ll give it a fair chance on your next Epic Universe visit!

It’s EASY

If you’ve ever tried to grab a table to eat during rush hour-esque traffic at popular mealtimes, you’ll know that finding a table to dine at is like heading into battle. Now, couple that with hungry, sweaty theme park visitors and you’ve got a recipe for disaster — except, not here though!

The spread

Every time I’ve dined at Meteor Astropub (and trust me, that’s a lot already), I’ve never experienced a problem grabbing a table almost immediately as I walk in.

The restaurant is made of several dining areas that share a mostly open concept with self-serve soda freestyle machines, which means you spend the least amount of time waiting for your order to arrive. I love how easy it is to walk inside and grab a table without delay (which comes in especially handy when I’m starving after a long day in the park).

The Menu Has Some Of My Epic Universe FAVORITES

It’s unavoidable — the menu here knocks this place out of the park for me! In fact, it’s home to one of my favorite beers in the entire park, The Speechless Astronomer.

The Speechless Astronomer

You can literally walk up to the bar, order it, and take it to go with you. It’s incredibly simple, and that might be what I love most about the entire experience! But I can’t say I’ve ever eaten a bad meal here either. I’ve tried several dishes like the Astro Pub Burger and Fish and Chips, and always leave satisfied without feeling like I need a flavor break from its offerings.

Secret Bar Hack

Ok — this one’s cheating a bit because we’ve already gone over how super convenient it is to walk right into this restaurant, but what I didn’t mention specifically before was its bar. Yes, it’s an incredible bar that I’m very attached to personally.

The indoor bar

Without having to find a booth or table to sit in, you can literally walk straight in to have a seat at the INDOOR bar right in the AC and out of the sun’s heat and humidity (which is a totally underrated feature in my opinion and what makes this bar truly special.

Check out the decor here

While you can’t order food to be served at the bar, it’s a great spot to grab a seat indoors, usually without a wait, sip on a cool beverage, and relax out of the sun for a bit. One of the biggest complaints I (and I’ve heard several of you have too) is that there’s little to no shade inside Celestial Park, and this is a great way to get indoors under some blasting air conditioning, without feeling like you’re missing out on the experience of what Celestial Park has to offer.

Come For The Food, Stay For The Vibes

Remember that great AC I mentioned earlier? Yeah, it’s only a small factor of why I love the vibes in here. It’s got a great nostalgic meteor-themed hangout with celestial vibes. The entire pub is decorated with stars and planets, creating a vibrant, otherworldly atmosphere. It’s designed to be a place where “cosmic cocktails and celestial vibes collide,” and it delivers on that promise.

Food is so good here

I’ve never felt less than invited walking in here, and that’s a big reason why I just keep finding myself returning time and time again. The food and drinks are great, it’s an ideal way to keep experiencing what Epic Universe has to offer away from the weather, heat, and elements of the outdoors, and you can’t beat that its theming is totally on point.

If you’re looking for one of the best spots to stop for a bite around Epic Universe, heed my advice, and you won’t be sorry you did (or walk away hungry)!
