A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….there used to be this one Disney World attraction. But it disappeared in 2020.

Now, a LOT changed in Disney World in 2020, and since then, things still aren’t 100 percent back to what they were before Disney World closed that year. But with so much entertainment, restaurants, and experiences now available again in Disney World, one experience has remained absent — and we bet your kids loved it.
So first, we’ll give you a little background. In 2007, an interactive kid’s show debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios called Jedi Academy Training. A group of about 20 kids signed up for the session at the beginning of the day for a chance to become Jedi Younglings and participate in a training session with a Jedi Master, complete with robes and a lightsaber. Then each youngling would have to go up against Darth Vader and ultimately defeat the Dark Side. Each participant would get a diploma after the show.

In 2015, the show became Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, but the premise was similar. That show ran through 2020. The show was held near Star Tours. Not only was the show a blast for kids who got to participate, but it was also entertaining for adults because, well, you never know what kids are going to do when put on the spot, and sometimes they are hilarious.

This was one of the most popular offerings for kids at Hollywood Studios, although it did have a limited number of children that could participate. There were 15 shows held throughout the day, though.

There’s just one problem: Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple has not returned to Hollywood Studios since its last show in 2020. Yes, it’s one of those things that’s still missing since then. Considering how popular it was, it’s kind of surprising that Disney World hasn’t brought the show back.

Granted, there are some opportunities for interacting with characters in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but there’s nothing specifically for kids like Jedi Training in that land, and that’s a shame.
Disney has not mentioned Jedi Training or any other similar shows like it, but hope it’s not one of the things at Disney World that is gone for good.
