Walt Disney World is a large resort — so large, in fact, it’s larger than Manhattan!

There’s a lot to explore throughout the resorts. The theme parks, of course, all the different hotels, as well as Disney Springs. While there are crowds almost everywhere, there are a few places where you may be able to catch a breather alone. But are you REALLY alone?
There are a few places in Disney World where you may think you’re alone, but in fact, people can see you.
The Skyliner
Even if you’re in a Skyliner car completely by yourself, or with just your family, you may think you’re totally by yourself. While that’s ALMOST true, there are a few exceptions.

When other Skyliner cars pass by and you can see into them? Yes, they can see into yours, too. Or when you look down and see everyone walking up to the Hollywood Studios park gates, or through EPCOT’s World Showcase? They can see you then, too. While it’ll be hard to see details, you are still in sight! This is especially true if you’re in a Skyliner car with no wraparound art.
The Monorail
Similar to the Skyliner, the Monorail goes over sections of EPCOT and Monorail Hotels. Yep, so the same precedent applies — if you can see them, they can see you!

This is especially true when you’re going through Disney’s Contemporary Resort, pulling up to Magic Kingdom, or going through EPCOT.
The “Secret” Pathway to Tomorrowland
Right behind new Fantasyland (well, it’s not that new anymore, but you know what we mean) you’ll find a pathway that leads toward TRON Lightcycle / Run in Tomorrowland.

Yep, you knew where this was going. While the pathway itself isn’t super well known and you won’t find many people on it, the closer you get to TRON, the more there’s a possibility that people on the ride launching into the Grid (since it starts outside) may be able to see you below.
The Beginning of Gran Fiesta Tour
At the beginning of the Gran Fiesta Tour ride in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion, you’ll be able to see the dining area of San Angel Inn Restaurante.

This means that if you’re dining at the restaurant, you’ll easily be able to see people on the ride after they’ve gotten in the boats and they’re floating to actually start the ride, and people on the ride will be able to see those dining in the restaurant.
The PeopleMover
Very similarly, if you’re on the PeopleMover flying over Tomorrowland, looking at everyone below, they can look up and see you.

This is especially true when you’re going through Star Traders on the ride. People shopping in the store often have no idea riders can see them below!
Chef Mickey’s/Contempo Cafe
Remember when we said the Monorail goes through the Contemporary Hotel? One of the clearest views you can get from the Monorail for a few moments is of Chef Mickey’s and Contempo Cafe.

Yes, you can see people dining, the characters greeting guests — it’s a lot of fun! So if you’re ever dining at either of the two spots and feel like you’re being watched, now you know why.
