Currently, you can catch the fireworks show EPCOT Forever in the park each night, but we’re anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new 100th Anniversary show later this year.

We don’t know yet when this new show will debut (or what it will look like), but we are watching closely as construction takes place in World Showcase Lagoon. It looks like an outline of what we can expect is finally starting to take shape!
From the ground, you can tell that there’s construction going on in the middle of the lagoon, but it’s hard to tell what it really looks like.

Thanks to @bioreconstruct on Twitter, we can see that from the sky, a hexagonal platform is coming to life with pairs of pilings making up an outer circle.

Part of this structure was reportedly used for the IllumiNations fireworks show and may be reused for this new show.

And remember those Harmonious barges that were widely disliked because they blocked the view across the lagoon during the day? It looks like barges will be used again during this new show, but they may be moved during the day.

These are being developed for a new fireworks show in EPCOT.

The aerial photos also caught a collection of square platforms backstage at EPCOT that also seem to be connected to the new show on its way. Of course, we’re just speculating here, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens!

We hope we’ll be hearing an announcement soon on when we can expect this new show, but it seems Disney still has some work to do to get everything set up.
