Disney’s Beach Club Resort Guests: Make Sure You’ve Seen This New Disney Update!

Yesterday, Disney provided a variety of updates that will be implemented when the Disney Vacation Club Resorts, along with Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Spa, reopen on June 22nd.

Disney’s Riviera Resort

One of the most surprising updates from Disney was the fact that Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort would be temporarily unavailable when the Resorts reopen. However, Disney has now provided a few additional updates on what pools guests at these hotels can use!

According to an update on the Disney World website, guests of Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club will be able to use the leisure pool at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, or Luna Park Pool and the leisure pool at the nearby Disney’s BoardWalk Villas.

While Disney has stated that their pools may operate with reduced hours, Stormalong Bay was the only Resort pool specifically noted as being unavailable upon reopening.

  1. Thanks for the giggle in the midst of trying times;-) I’ve decided I want to stay at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Spa, mentioned here. I was hoping maybe they’d added some extra special services (a hot tub maybe? 🙂 but then realized it was s’posed to be Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. If it was November, i’d fly down & camp there in a heartbeat, spa or no. July? Not so much. lol Thanks for all your hard week in keeping us Disney folks updated & looking forward to better Disney Days. Much appreciated!!!

  2. Makes perfect sense. You want people to spread out and social distance so you close a huge pool and funnel those guests to another resort. Sounds about right.
