Back in February, I shared how I photographed Walt Disney World restaurants. At the end of the article, I mentioned I would do a future one about photographing a restaurant’s interior. This is it.
My subject is the Le Cellier restaurant at the Canada pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase.

Le Cellier is a very dim lighted restaurant. Even in the waiting area as a host was preparing for the arrival of guests in front of the wine cellar.

This area had some sunlight coming through the restaurant’s entrance. Sitting down and using a vibration reduction (VR) Nikon lens, I was able to get a very good photo.
After being seated, I used a bean bag to steady my camera for this photo of a guest waiting at her table.

The last thing I wanted to show was another view of the dining room. To steady myself, I leaned against one of the pillars and used Da Grip.

As you can tell, the lighting is very warm. Since I did not do a custom White Balance, I adjusted it in post to bring out the colors the way I saw them.
Photographing inside a restaurant takes patience, planning and pre-visualization.
