If you’ve been planning your Disney World trip and loading up your Amazon cart with park essentials, you’ll definitely want to read this first.

Disney’s got a list of banned items, and while most of them make total sense, they can throw a wrench in your packing plans if you don’t know about them ahead of time. Don’t worry, though. We’ve got you covered with some solid alternatives.
Loose Ice
Yep, you read that right. You can’t bring loose ice into the parks. We get it. Florida heat is no joke, and staying cool is basically a survival skill at Disney World. But instead of stressing about it, just grab yourself an insulated water bottle that’ll do the heavy lifting for you.
We’re currently obsessed with the Owala Disney Princess FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle.

It’s got a built-in straw for easy sipping, a wide-mouth opening if you want to chug it old-school, and it keeps your drinks cold for up to 24 hours. No loose ice needed. It’s also got a cup holder-friendly base (a must for stroller life), and it comes with a carry loop that doubles as a lid lock. Cute AND functional? We’re obsessed.
Glass Containers
Unless you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, glass containers are a no-go in the parks (with some exceptions for things like baby food jars). So if you were planning to pack lunch in your favorite mason jar, it’s time to rethink that strategy.
First up, the Whiskware Disney Mickey Mouse and Friends Stackable Snack Containers are genuinely such a smart swap.

They’ve got three separate compartments so you can keep your snacks organized and your crackers away from your grapes (because nobody wants soggy crackers). The Twist ‘n’ Lock lids keep everything secure, they’re dishwasher safe, and they stack together for easy carrying. Honestly, they’re great for the parks even beyond the whole glass-ban thing.
If you’re packing for little ones, the Best Brands Disney Bento Box is another fantastic option.

It’s got built-in compartments, a lid section that’s perfect for storing the included detachable spork or a few extra snacks, and it’s totally dishwasher safe. It’s designed to be easy to clean with minimal crevices, which any parent knows is an absolute blessing. Your kids are going to love it.
Plastic Straws at Animal Kingdom
This one’s specific to Animal Kingdom, and honestly, it makes complete sense given the nature of the park. Plastic straws are banned there to help protect the animals. It’s a small change that makes a big difference.
The good news is that reusable silicone straws are a super easy swap. The Sunseeke Silicone Straws come in a set of 12 straws with four carrying cases, so the whole family’s covered.

They’re made from food-grade platinum silicone, completely BPA-free, and they’re soft and flexible, which makes them way safer than metal or glass options, especially if you’ve got little ones in tow. They come with cleaning brushes, and you can even trim them to fit different cup sizes. Pack them in your bag, and you’re good to go for the whole trip.
Now that you know what to skip and what to swap in, you’ll be heading into the parks totally prepared.
In the meantime, we’ll be keeping an eye out for the latest Disney deals, so make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for more!
