It’s Official: This Is the #1 Reason People Obsess Over the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival

The sun is shining, the flowers are in bloom, and there are literally butterflies in the air — it must mean it’s time for the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival!

It’s Bambi!

This year, the festival runs till June 1st, and there is SO much to see and do. While your first thought might be all the food to try (which you should totally check out, too), we’re here to tell you about all the other stuff you can do. There are gardens, free concerts, and so much more, all included with your park ticket in EPCOT.

Gardens

The festival has beautiful gardens

There are a few gardens you can walk through in EPCOT, too, even though the whole park kinda feels like a garden in itself. You can check out the Health Full Trail Presented by AdventHealth and Blossoms of Fragrance Presented by Scentsy. Don’t forget to stop by the English Tea Garden, too.

This year, there’s also a garden themed to Disney Pixar’s newest movie, releasing to theatres this month, Hoppers. The garden is called Wildlife Crossing…

…and it features cutouts of different animal characters in the film!

Look at the animals!

Topiaries

The Lion King

Along with gardens, there are topiaries set up around the park. You’ll find so many different Disney characters like Elsa, Figment, Mickey Mouse, Bambi, and more. It’s fun to make your own scavenger hunt to try to find them all.

Butterfly Landing

Butterfly Landing

We love checking out the butterflies! There’s a huge tent filled with flowers and tons and tons of butterflies. You can see them flying around, landing on flowers, and at different stages of growth. It’s such a fun spot for families to check out.

Spike the Bee’s Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt

The map tells you the general areas where you should look.

This scavenger hunt costs $9.99 and lets you find Spike the Bee in different areas around the front of the park and the World Showcase. You can put a sticker on the coordinating spot, and you get to earn a special prize.

CommuniCore Hall

Spike Topiary

CommuniCore Hall has a Spike the Bee topiary, but this topiary is not quite like the others. This topiary has a little countdown, and once the countdown hits zero, its lighting changes, and you hear the song “Flight of the Bumblebee.” After that, the light dims, the audio becomes quieter, and you hear a thunderstorm with softer music.

Such a fun detail!

Living with the Land Overlay

Flower archway

One of our favorite parts of the festival is when Living with the Land gets its flower overlay! While we hoped to have some more character-based and exciting additions (like the Moana boat last year), there is a gorgeous flower arch for the festival this year. Oh, and you can see a pitcher of the iconic Violet Lemonade!

While we’re still dreaming about the flowers, make sure you keep following AllEars for more details you need to know before heading to the festival yourself. We’re trying all the food, so you know what’s worth it.
