Before we know it, summer will hit Disney World, and you know what that means… It’s pool time, baby! Okay, technically, at Disney World, you can swim in the pools year-round, but summer is definitely the time when they get the most use.

People are looking to cool off during those sweltering Florida days, after all, and Disney likes to make sure the pools are in tip-top shape before summer hits. If you’ve got an upcoming stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, there’s a new pool closure you need to know about!
The South Point Pool and Spa, BBQ area, and playground will be closed from now through late April 2026 at Disney’s Old Key West Resort.

During this time, hotel guests are encouraged to use the Sandcastle Pool…

or one of the hotel’s other leisure pools, including the recently refurbished Turtle Pond Pool and Miller’s Road Pool. As with the other Disney World hotels under refurbishment, you may see or hear maintenance activity during daytime hours, but there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the resort.

Over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the Tidal Leisure Pool will be closed for routine maintenance through early May. Hotel guests may notice or hear refurbishment activity during the day, but the good news is that most resort amenities will remain open, and you can still enjoy the larger pool options during your stay.

And, at the Yacht Club resort, the Admiral leisure pool will be closed for routine maintenance expected to last through early May. You may see or hear work happening in that area during daytime hours, but the majority of the hotel (including dining and other amenities) will remain open and available. The main Stormalong Bay pool complex, shared with Disney’s Beach Club Resort, is not affected by this closure.

That’s not all — Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is also getting in on the refurbishment party. From February 9th through early March 2026, the Fuentes del Morro Water Play Area will be closed for routine maintenance. The feature pool and all other amenities will stay open. Whew!

We’ll be on the lookout for even more Disney World pool closures and hotel updates you need to know about. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and more!
