Hollywood Studios Brought Back a Nostalgic Piece of Disney History, and We’re Begging for More

We’re going to be completely transparent with you — we’re still mourning the loss of Muppet*Vision 3D!

We had to say goodbye to Muppets Courtyard and the beloved Muppet*Vision attraction last year, and we’ve been missing it ever since. So, imagine how thrilled we were when we found a certain surprise at Disney’s Hollywood Studios the other day!

There is nothing we love more than seeing a piece, or pieces, of a closed attraction show up at another spot in Disney World. Sometimes we intentionally search for something to turn up. Some might think we’re delusional for it (and maybe we are), but you know what, we found something this time!

We found a part of Muppet Vision when we went to ride Toy Story Mania. At this point, you can probably guess what it is that we found!

If you guessed the 3D glasses, you’d be correct! We spotted the iconic purple glasses from the old Muppets attraction sharing the baskets with Toy Story Mania’s yellow 3D glasses.

We were getting hit with feelings of nostalgia, emotions, excitement, you name it. We still can’t believe Muppets Courtyard is gone!

It’s nice to see the glasses survived at the end of the day. We’re wondering if they’ll permanently stay at Toy Story Mania or get moved to somewhere else eventually. They kind of work here — yellow for Woody and purple for Buzz!

Maybe they’ll get moved over to the new Monsters Inc. Land that’s replacing Muppets Courtyard when that opens. It would be like moving back home, only it looks completely different. There might be a new monster show where Muppets Vision was, as concept art did have something called “The Glob” occupying the theatre. Maybe the glasses could be used for that!
