It is time! EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays has officially kicked off, and we were there experiencing EVERYTHING the festival has to offer!
Not only are we eating our way through the Festival Kitchens, but we are also checking out all the exclusive festival entertainment. And, of course, we’re taking you all along with us!
The International Festival of the Holidays is the last EPCOT festival of the year, and it is all about holiday celebrations all around the world. The festival takes place from November 29th through December 30th. You can stop by Holiday Kitchens to enjoy holiday dishes from different countries, take part in a holiday scavenger hunt, go on a cookie stroll, and so much more!
In addition to these offerings, there is also lots of live entertainment to enjoy. One of the most popular offerings is the Candlelight Processional. This show is a retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator who is accompanied by an orchestra. You can watch this show at 5PM, 6:45PM, and 8:15PM in the America Gardens Theatre.
You will also be able to find Joyful! A Celebration of the Season at CommuniCore Hall. The acapella group performs an uplifting performance with songs from both Christmas and Kwanzaa. You can watch performances at 2:40PM, 3:45PM, 4:50PM, and 6:10PM.
Additionally, you can spot lots of live entertainment throughout the World Showcase. You will find Holiday Storytellers in nearly every World Showcase country. These storytellers will share traditions from their country and can be found in the following locations:
- Las Posadas Celebration (Mexico)
- Mischievous Barn Santa and Sigrid (Norway)
- Chinese Lion Dancer (China)
- La Befana (Italy)
- Santa Claus (The Odyssey Pavilion)
- Daruma Storyteller (Japan)
- Hanukkah Storyteller (Between France and Morocco)
- Père Noël (France)
- Father Christmas (United Kingdom)
- Canadian Holiday Voyageurs (Canada)
You will also be able to meet Santa Claus during the festival. He will be meeting inside the Odyssey Pavilion from November 29th through December 24th.
Finally, don’t miss the grand finale on your way out of EPCOT! Make sure to take a moment to admire the lights on Spaceship Earth, as the light show also features a special holiday section. When we saw it, we saw the regular show first, and then the holiday show played a few minutes later!
