If you’ve been to Disney World recently, you may know that in order to get into the parks, in addition to a ticket, you need to have booked a Park Pass Reservation.
If a park is sold out of passes on the day you want to go, then you’ll have to book a pass for another park and try to hop after 2PM to the park you want to go to, provided you have a park hopper ticket. There are a limited number of park passes per day for each theme park, and sometimes they do sell out, especially on busier days. We were taking a look at the reservation availability calendar and noticed that one park has already filled up on one day in October.
Guests who want to go to the Magic Kingdom on October 10th will not be able to make a reservation for the park on that day because park passes have already sold out for those with regular park tickets.
UPDATE: Park Pass availability has changed and October 10th is now available for all four theme parks. We’ll update you if this changes again!
All other parks are still available, so you could make a reservation for a different park like EPCOT and then try to park hop to the Magic Kingdom after 2PM, but you won’t be able to start your day in Magic Kingdom as of right now.
We’ve seen this happen before with other parks, and in most cases Disney added more reservations for the days that were sold out, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the availability calendar to see if more reservations show up. At this time, Magic Kingdom park passes for October 10th are still available for all Disney World Annual Passes that are not blocked out on that date. We’ll keep an eye on the situation and let you know if anything changes.
If you want to go to the Magic Kingdom that day but can’t get a reservation, there is a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that night that you could purchase tickets for instead. The party starts at 7PM and goes until midnight, but guests with tickets to the party can enter the Magic Kingdom starting at 4PM that day, so you could get up to eight hours of park time, without a standard admission ticket. Tickets are currently on sale for the Halloween party and ticket prices for October 10th are $159 for adults and $149 for children.

I’m confused how 10/10 is totally booked for Magic Kingdom. I’m REALLY hoping they open up more reservations that day. The reason I’m confused is because when the 60 day dining window opened up I couldn’t secure anything for 10/9 or 10/10. Luckily I came across the MouseWatcher site and signed up for alerts on both days. After a couple weeks I was able to secure my desired breakfast and lunch reservations on 10/10, I literally have gotten no notifications for Sunday 10/9. Naturally, this led me to believe that Sunday was the busier day. When I went to buy the tickets a couple of days ago this is when I noticed all the Magic Kingdom park passes were gone for Monday! So, plenty of dining options for Monday, but no park passes. No dining options for Sunday, but park passes still available! So backwards!!

My family is headed to DW in August and wanted to go to the Magic Kingdom on Aug. 19th it is also blocked. Which is also the Halloween Boo-Bash that night. Wondering why those dates are blocked already ??
