There’s still quite a bit of construction happening in the middle of the park, and there are new attractions and offerings coming in the future. One of those is Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana, and we got another look at concept art for the attraction today!
During a presentation all about the future of EPCOT, Disney shared some more concept art from Journey of Water, and the “lush exploration trail” looks like it’s going to have a wide variety of elements and features!
When you zoom in on this new artwork, you can make out more details of the trail, including what appears to be an entrance near the monorail line, as well as several different paths with water elements.
There are jumping fountains and roofed structures with water streaming over the sides. Disney had noted in the past that guests would be able to “interact” with water here, and this concept art seems to depict children controlling the geyser sprays. (In the bottom left corner.)
According to Disney Imagineer, Zach Riddley, the new attraction “will build on [the] history of storytelling and conservation-focused education at EPCOT” once open.
Disney hasn’t yet shared a date on when we can expect this walk-through attraction to open in the park, but we’ve recently noticed rock structures forming in the construction zone. It’s making progress!
We’ll keep you updated when Disney shares more details on what we can expect from this attraction, so stay tuned to AllEars. We’ve got the latest news!
