BREAKING: Details Shared for NEW Character Meet-and-Greet Space in EPCOT

If you’ve been to EPCOT recently, then you know that some big changes are happening in this park!

EPCOT

Much of the middle of the park is covered in construction walls, which leaves guests wondering — what’s going on in there? Well, we already know that Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana is coming in the future, and today we got more details on World Celebration’s new look as a whole, but what else? Well, there’s one big surprise in store!

During a presentation about the EPCOT transformation today, Disney shared a BUNCH of details on the exciting additions coming to World Celebration. As part of those changes, we’ll be getting a new outdoor EPCOT festival space, ComomuniCore Plaza, and a new indoor festival building, CommuniCore Hall.

Inside CommuniCore Hall, you’ll find all kinds of festival excitement, including an exhibition and gallery space with room for a variety of experiences like food, fine art, and more. It’ll be the space where you can “extend” your festival experience with mixology classes and chef demonstrations.

But on top of all that, there’s something else coming to CommuniCore Hall! Part of the facility will house a meet and greet area called Mickey and Friends, where you can interact with some of your favorite Disney pals. Many character meets in EPCOT have been displaced since Innoventions was torn down, so we’re excited to see these friends get a permanent home again.
