NEWS: Disney World Park Hours Released For Late August

There are a lot of decisions to make when you’re planning a Disney World vacation and one of the biggies is which parks you want to visit.

Main Street, U.S.A.

Disney is currently requiring guests to purchase both a valid theme park ticket and make a park pass reservation before arriving at the park, so planning ahead is important now more than ever. And, to help you decide which parks you want to visit each day, we’ve got an update on when the parks will be open in August!

Disney had previously released park hours through August 21st, but now we know when the parks will be open the following week from August 22nd to 28th! Let’s take a look!

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom will continue to have similar hours as past weeks opening from 9AM to 9PM daily. Though, the park will have some extended hours on August 24th and August 27th, as it will open for the new Disney After Hours BOO Bash event from 9:30PM to 12:30AM.

Keep in mind that Disney’s BOO Bash is a ticketed event, so you will need to have purchased tickets if you’d like to stay in the parks later.

EPCOT

Over at EPCOT, the park hours will remain consistent as well, opening from 11AM to 9PM.

The  EPCOT Food & Wine Festival will also be happening in the park during this time, so there will be plenty of time to try all the new eats and drinks from all the food booths!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open from 9AM to 7PM so you can explore all of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land.

Again, these are the same hours that we saw for the park the week prior.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

And, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will open from 8AM to 6PM daily between August 22nd to 28th. So, it will be another week that park hours remain consistent from the weeks before in all four theme parks.

Of course, park hopping hours will begin for all of the parks at 2PM daily as well.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park

If you’re hoping to visit Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, it will open from 11AM to 6PM. And, keep in mind that Disney does not require park pass reservations for this park, so you can go any day of the week that you’d like.

  1. Does anyone know the reason why Epcot opens later than the other parks? I’ve never understood that and can’t find any info about it. Is it the lack of cast members?

    1. They are staggering the bus schedule.
Since they still aren’t filling the busses up completely they need to stagger the park opening times to accommodate not having enough busses for all guests
