While you might be counting down the days until Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival returns, did you know there’s a super-cool horticultural experience at Walt Disney World park that’s offered year-round?

We’re talking about the Behind the Seeds Tour at Epcot’s Land pavilion!
Normally, Disney World’s specially-ticketed events and tours can cost some big bucks, but Epcot’s Behind the Seeds Tour only costs $25 for adults and $20 for kids!

What is Behind the Seeds?
Are you a big fan of Living with the Land, the classic boat ride that takes you through four state-of-the-art greenhouses (and even a fish farm!) to see how Disney World grows some of the produce it uses in a few of its restaurants? Then you sound like you’ll REALLY enjoy Behind the Seeds!
During the special tour, you’ll get to see what the fish are like during feeding time! You might even get to treat them to their meal yourself!

You’ll also be able to get up close and personal with some of the produce you’ve previously only seen from distance — until now! On this tour, you’ll discover lots of information about the hydroponic and space-saving vertical growing techniques Disney has truly mastered. Maybe you’ll even pick up a few tips for your vegetable garden back home from what you’ll learn. You’ll also receive a handout at the end of the tour with even more expert plant-growing advice!

Things to Know
Since this is a walking tour, it’s a good idea to wear comfortable footwear; you’ll be standing or walking for most of the tour. Typically Behind the Seeds lasts about an hour.

Tours are available most days starting in the mid-morning hours and until the early afternoon. Check out the Behind the Seeds website here for more information and to book your reservations!
