My first trip to WDW was when I was 5. The only thing I remember from that trip was my dad taking me on The Haunted Mansion. So riding it again 32 years later was a delight this year (pre-covid). It’s just as fun as I remembered and it was a joy to take my 6yo on it. He was not scared at all. It’s just a Disney classic and you have to go on it.
Pros:
Everything It’s a classicCons:

Favorite ride at Magic Kingdom. Ride scared me as a kid (dark ride) but grew to LOVE IT !!!!
Pros:
Very detailed, just perfectCons:
Might be too dark for smaller kids. Wish they would decorate it more for Halloween (like Disneyland with Nightmare Before Christmas)Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 11/10/2020

Haunted Mansion is one of those rides that encapsulates what Disney storytelling is. Everything in it, every picture, every sculpture, every turn of the ride is full of detail and when they can do the Haunted Mansion behind the scenes tour again, if you get the chance, do it.
It's an omnimover that does keep on rolling and in these times without the pre show you go right through the outer queue and into the ride line without spending the time in the stretch room. I found I missed that - it provided a transition from the park to the ride that you don't get now that you walk right through it, but on the flip side, you do get to the omnimover faster. The first half of the ride is creepy and spooky and might alarm small children. Once you get past the midpoint though it starts to get funny even though you are going through ghosts and graveyards and haunted attics.
Pros:
Engrossing theming, and effects that have been doing the job for fifty years.Cons:
The outside queue can be warm, though you can get a breeze off the Rivers of America.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 10/29/2020

Absolute classic! The theming is brilliant; the imagineers outdid themselves. It's entertaining for all ages. A little scary and intimidating for kids, but it gets funny and lighter as the ride goes on. It's not a thrill ride, but this is the best calm dark ride in Disney World.
