Really an overlooked resort. We stayed in a studio and loved it. This place would be a blast with kids. I can’t wat to bring the grandchildren. The pool area has got to be one of the best layouts for children.
Pros:
Pool and savannaCons:

I have stayed here dozens of time. We love it. I\\\\\\'ve stayed in studios, 1br and the 2br. The 2br is over 1400 sq feet, 3 bathrooms, just amazing. the 1br are just as awesome with amazing kitchen and so much room. we have groceries delivered here and cook our own meals most days! We had someone visit who was at pop century and they came in the bathroom and they were like, our room would fit in your bathroom.
Pros:
Atmosphere. The safari. To be able to see animals. Feels like on disney but not on disney. Pool is awesome.Cons:
can be a long ride to MK or Epcot.Reviewed by nrymut Review Date: 03/17/2018

Stayed in a one bedroom villa in Jan 18. Room was ready when we arrived at noon. Cast members are friendly, room was clean, housekeeping OK but they forgot to leave more detergent for me on Trash and Towel day. House keeping did come in every day to remove trash but we never saw them- very efficient. Bus service was fine. Did not try the new breakfast service at Saana but it looked good. It was difficult to drive to the resort on our arrival day as it was the marathon, but detours were clearly marked. My credit card was not attached to the Magic Band despite online check in. This is the second time this has happened, once before at OKW.
Pros:
Spacious villa, excellent locationCons:

I was nervous about staying here (we are used to Boardwalk Villas and Beach Club Villas, which are more centrally located), but we really enjoyed our stay! The cast members were by far the friendliest and most cheerful we've ever seen at any resort. We had one small hiccup on arrival day - when I called Bell Services to have our carry-on bags delivered, I also told them I had a Garden Grocer order - when they came, they only delivered the luggage. The guy said he'd bring the GG order the next time he was on our floor - but couldn't tell when that would be, so I ended up going down and getting it myself (using my mom's walker to carry everything). The other odd thing was that we had a handicap accessible 2 BR villa. I was expecting the master bath to have the accessible shower, but there was a 6" step up. The bathroom attached to the 2nd bedroom had the accessible shower - not a big deal, but it just struck me as odd.
Pros:
Friendly cast members; the savanna; shuttle to Jambo HouseCons:

At first I did not want to rent a DVC property because of the unknowns of the people staying and operating the resort. Our 7 night stay was fantastic. Very relaxing atmosphere. We were two buildings from the pool, lobby and bus station. This was perfect. The attention to details wherever we wondered was the best of Disney. The Sanaa restaurant opened a couple weeks prior our 10/8/16 arrival for QM breakfast. Excellent and quick. The view of the animals was worth waking up for.
Pros:
scenery, attention to details, the peopleCons:

Love staying at Kidani Village. Room was clean and ready upon check in at 2pm. Resort staff are very friendly. It is more peaceful here than at other resorts. It is a plus that the buses serve only Kidani and Jambo house, so it is more efficient than other resorts. Although there is no quick serve in Kidani, the Mara at Jambo House is one of the best. The third bathroom really comes in handy. Theming is very nicely done. Resort is really a mini museum.
Pros:
Quiet and peaceful, friendly staffCons:

If you love animals, stunning architecture, amazing food, and lots to do, I highly recommend Kidani. My kids always had something to do. We learned so much from the cultural reps. There isn't a QS, but Sanaa is delicious. I went on the culinary tour at Boma and Jiko. (Jambo House) Tebby was a gracious and very informative guide. We walked and took the shuttle to Jambo to eat at Mara (QS). It was very good! The zebra domes are one of the best desserts I've ever eaten! The walk from our room, 7955, was a HIKE to the lobby and pool until I discovered using the elevator to the parking garage.
Pros:
Learned a lot about African culture.Cons:

Stayed at Kidani from June 7-14. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. My only issues were transportation, though the electronic signs were very helpful, and the fact that the seal on our fridge had a huge gap. I imagine that it wasted quite a bit of power, and though I reported it, it was never addressed.
Pros:
View, staffCons:

We stayed at Kidani Village in a DVC 1br villa from 4/19-4/26. We had a standard view, looking out at the bus stop, but could also see the pool in the far distance. One real bonus: we could see the top of Wishes from our balcony! What a treat each night. Our room was #7523, so not a far walk from either the lobby or Jambo, and only a few minutes to the pool. The room was very clean and everything was in good shape. The pool here is our favorite of all the DVC pools. There are always tables with umbrellas available, and the bartenders are very friendly. I love that there is a view of the savanna close to the pool, always with a Cast Member nearby to talk to you about whatever animal you might be seeing. One day we saw a 5mo old Okapi right up next to the fence. Just amazing! Love this resort and will most certainly return.
