When we were at Hollywood Studios recently, we noticed a major change to the future Monsters, Inc. land. There’s now a construction crane that’s so tall you can see it pretty much no matter where you are in the park!

This construction crane is massive! It’s all the way in the back of the park to build the new Monsters, Inc. suspended roller coaster, and it was still towering over the park icons. It was also pretty windy, so we got to see a sneak peek of the buildings that are usually covered with tarps!
If you’ve been following Monsters, Inc. land construction, then you’ll know that when we checked out the place last week, the clock tower was covered in grey cement. Now, the clock tower is back to its signature brick red!

When we zoom in, it looks like this isn’t the finished product — it’s likely a tarp or paper covering to protect the building from the weather. It was still super nostalgic seeing the color again! On the clock face itself, there’s a lot of red and blue painters’ tape over a clear plastic cover, so the clock tower will likely have some more work done soon.

While we were making sure we got all of the pictures in, some construction workers started coming out and working on the clock tower right in front of us! It looks like they’re slowly lining the building with brick, but haven’t gotten to the clock tower yet. There’s a new red brick along the theater entrance to the left, but it’s super hidden under the tarps. The side of the clock tower towards the street has new bricks, but the front of the tower doesn’t.

We’re so excited to see what Monsters, Inc. land looks like when it opens. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney World news!
