One of the best parts about a day at EPCOT is walking around the World Showcase, taking in the sights and sounds, and enjoying different snacks and drinks!

One of our favorite things to do is buy sugar art in the China Pavilion…well…it was at least. The activity left EPCOT in 2020, came back a month ago, only to leave the park AGAIN. The question is…what happened?
We recently went to EPCOT to enjoy a nice Disney day. While we were there, we thought it would be fun to head over to the China Pavilion and check out the tasty sugar art at House of Good Fortune.

The way it’s made is that a sugar artist takes sugar and quickly creates a shape out of it. This has to be done before the sugar hardens and dries. You can get the art the sugar made on a stick, admire it, and then eat it!

When we stopped by the pavilion, the station where they make the sugar art was gone! We didn’t want to believe it was over, so we went to talk to a Cast Member. They confirmed our biggest fear and told us that it was officially gone. The sugar art apparently was only there for April. Sorry to say, but if you wanted sugar art on your next trip, you won’t be able to get any.

As disappointed as we are that it’s gone, maybe it’ll come back from time to time. It did for April, so why wouldn’t Disney bring it back again? The China Pavilion is still a fun spot without the sugar art, but it will be missed.

The House of Good Fortune still has unique Chinese gifts and snacks that you can check out. That being said, we might have to pass by it a few times without going in, just till the heartbreak is over!
