If you’ve ever noticed a huge crowd of people forming around the back corner of the Italy Pavilion in EPCOT, there’s a HUGE reason why. They’ve discovered our hidden pizza spot at Disney World and we’re ready to share it all with you.

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by Pizza al Taglio at EPCOT and are bringing you our FULL review!
Background
This counter service restaurant primarily serves as a to-go window for pizza slices and drinks. It’s hours operate seasonally, so you’ll want to double check its availability before your next Disney World visit.

It sits to the side of the neighboring restaurant, Via Napoli, where you can enjoy a table service meal with Italian flair.

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.
Atmosphere
This pizza window is fairly small, but that doesn’t seem to scare the crowd away. Be prepared when it’s open to wait in line to order, as it’s become a popular stop around EPCOT’s World Showcase for a slice of pizza you can sink your teeth into.

However, the restaurant is prepared for the impending crowds with switchback lines in the immediate area, and once you’ve picked up your order for a slice of pizza and drink at the counter, there’s patio-style seating nearby to grab a spot to relax while you eat.

But, this is a true grab-and-go restaurant, so if you want to take your food to eat on the go or just outside of the Italy Pavilion (maybe closer to the lagoon), we wouldn’t blame you.
But enough about that, what are we eating?!
Food & Drinks
First up, we grabbed the Pepperoni Pizza for $9. This is exactly what you’d expect — pepperoni pizza with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese — but it’s so much more than that. These slices are Sicilian-style, meaning they have a thick crust, but y’all, the crust is SO soft and fluffy.

They toss the slices under the broiler, which helps get those pepperoni cups and the cheese nice and charred. The crust-to-topping ratio was excellent — we didn’t feel like there was too much sauce here either. It was cheesy with a nice peppery, meaty flavor from the pepperoni. It’s certainly greasy, but hey, it’s pizza — what do you expect?
Next up, we grabbed the Pizza Margherita for $8.50. This is a cheese pizza made with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. It’s the same as the pepperoni pizza, just without the pepperoni.

We thoroughly enjoyed this slice, even though some may find it “boring.” You can tell that quality ingredients are used here, especially in the dough. The mozzarella tasted salty without being overly so, and this slice was far less greasy since there was no pepperoni.
For dessert, we picked up the Tiramisú Alla “Nutella®” for $8. This is made with marscapone cream, espresso coffee, savoiardi biscuits, and Nutella.

Nutella fans — you’re gonna want to try this. It’s SO creamy thanks to the mascarpone cheese, and the chocolate-hazelnut flavor definitely shines through. It’s a thicker mousse, and we loved that the cookies got nice and soft from sitting in the tiramisu. This is a sleeper hit of a Disney World dessert!

To drink, we picked up the Frozen Wild Blueberry for $8. This is made with wild blueberry juice. We really enjoyed this — it was so refreshing.

Imagine a blueberry lemonade, just without the tartness of the lemon. It did have some tartness from the blueberry, but it was on the sweeter side. This would be a great option for nondrinkers or kiddos who want something not OVERLY sweet.

I love Disney World but… this was the worst pizza I ever had. Could hardly bite into it, or cut it with a knife and fork. I took the pizza back to the window and told the clerk how hard the crust was and she didn’t say anything.
I am a pizza lover so I was excited to try this pizza. I got the margarita slice and my wife got the pepperoni slice. The margarita slice had virtually no taste to it. It had very little pizza sauce and the crust was flavorless. You’re tasting cheese. My wife’s pepperoni pizza was just as bad. We have had much better pizza at the Pop Century Food Court. Now that is good pizza.
