Going to Disney World in 2025? You NEED To Know About This Lightning Lane Change

Last year, Genie+ — Disney World’s paid skip-the-line service for theme park rides and attractions — had a makeover to become Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. The new offerings took some time to get used to but things were shaken up again when Disney introduced the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass (LLPP) shortly after. This new pass is still somewhat in its infancy, which means it is susceptible to some serious changes in 2025.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows each user that has one to enter the Lightning Lane of EVERY attraction with a Lightning Lane once at a single Disney World Park without a designated redemption timeslot. Not too dissimilar to Universal’s Express Pass, the Premier Pass has opened the door to new ways to do Disney World.

Still fairly new, it’s not surprising that the Premier Pass will continue to change well into 2025.

Already, we’ve seen limitations be relaxed. When it debuted, Premier Pass was exclusively available to those staying at Deluxe Resorts or Deluxe Villa Resorts (Disney Vacation Club Resorts). Now, Disney has expanded eligibility to include those staying at ANY Disney World Resort hotel.

Right now, only Disneyland’s Premier Pass lets you enjoy park hopping privileges. However, Disney executives have confirmed that the Premier Pass will continue to change, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that park hopping becomes a thing with Disney World’s Premier Pass as soon as 2025.

Nothing has been confirmed on that front, but we’ll continue to monitor the situation and let you know if park hopping eventually is announced.

Another thing to look out for is a price increase, especially if park hopping becomes included. Disney is no stranger to inflating the cost of everything in their parks, and we recently saw price increases for all Lightning Lane options.

Per Disney, the price of a Premier Pass per person per day is currently as follows:

Magic Kingdom: $329-$449 plus tax
Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $129-$199 plus tax
EPCOT: $169-$249 plus tax
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $269-$349 plus tax

Frozen Ever After Lightning Lane

Eligible guests will be able to view prices for up to 21 days in advance

Guests of Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels can purchase passes up to 7 days in advance of their stay—and other guests can purchase passes up to 3 days in advance of their park visit.

Guests can purchase Premier Passes for days they have valid theme park admission starting at 7 AM ET on their first day of eligibility.
