*sigh* Well, this feels familiar.

It’s no secret that something will go wrong on your Disney World day. Just like how there’s always a solid chance something could go wrong on any normal day you’re not in the parks, the same chance applies in Disney World. There are lots of ways to fix, or at least prepare for, some of these more common issues, which our reporters and YouTube team run into very often while in the parks. We’re sorry to say that we thought this problem would start to go away, but alas, we were wrong.
Rides go down all the time in Disney World, whether its due to technical issues or due to bad weather for outdoor rides. But, we’ll be completely honest, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure went down 49 TIMES over 26 days in August and that…well that’s just wild.

Again, we expected this ride to have some bumps at the beginning (which it DID, very much so), but we thought they’d even out. Clearly, they haven’t, so we need for you to prepare for this ride to be closed when you go to redeem your Lightning Lane Multi Pass or your virtual queue time. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst! If you miss your Lightning Lane time due to the closure, you’ll most likely receive an experience redemption pass to use on the ride once it’s back open, and if you used the virtual queue and it closes during your window, you can return to the line when you see it’s back up and speak with Cast Members.

In comparison, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was closed 40 times over 23 days. This ride is also having its fair share of issues, and there’s been a rumor flying around that the ride will be closing for refurbishment within the next year. A permit was filed for some work to be done on the ride on June 14th, 2024, and it has an expiration date of August 8th, 2025 — we’ll keep an eye on it!
EPCOT
Meanwhile, over in EPCOT, Spaceship Earth closed down 28 times over 19 days, which doesn’t surprise us. This poor ride deserves some TLC, Disney! What happened to that refurbishment you were talking about?

Surprisingly though, none of our regular offenders (AKA the big, animatronically-challenging rides in this park) ended up on the list this month — Living with the Land was second on the list, closing 26 times over 19 days.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Oh boy, Hollywood Studios, what have you got for us this month? Wait, Slinky Dog Dash was only down 35 times in 19 days? Compared to Magic Kingdom, that’s actually not too bad! Especially considering it’s an entirely outdoor ride and it’s been a rainy month.

In second place, we had a tie between Rise of the Resistance and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, both closing 33 times over 21 days. Since both of these are trackless, which is a much more complicated ride system, we’re impressed!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Wildly enough, we had ANOTHER tie! Expedition Everest and TriceraTop Spin both went down 41 times in 23 days, which is…not great. Both are outdoor rides, yes, and we understand the Everest closures, but what the heck is going on with TriceraTop Spin?

In second (third?) place, we have Kali River Rapids with 33 closures in 23 days. Again, this is another outdoor ride that’s been seeing a MUCH higher attendance rate since it’s been so hot, so we suppose this makes some sense.
