We’ve got an important update that could impact your upcoming plans in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to several different evening shows. The headliner show is Fantasmic!, a large-scale nighttime spectacular that takes place in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater. Plus, the park also has projection mapping shows that transform the iconic Chinese Theatre with images from Disney classics.
Recently, Hollywood Studios has offered two back-to-back projection mapping shows performed at the Chinese Theater. First, Disney Movie Magic features scenes from dozens of movies, including Mary Poppins, Pirates of the Caribbean, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, and more.

And Wonderful World of Animation features a clip from every single full-length Disney animated classic and Pixar film, set to a fun soundtrack.

But if you had plans to catch these shows in Hollywood Studios soon beware — there are no showtimes listed for Wonderful World of Animation from now through June 6th, and the webpage for Disney Movie Magic is currently unavailable altogether.

There is currently a large stage set up in front of the Chinese Theater for a private event in the park on June 5th. It’s likely that the Wonderful World of Animation show would be tough to perform with the stage obstructing the area, which would explain why the show is set to resume on June 7th, giving Cast Members an evening after the private event to deconstruct the stage.

However the future of the Disney Movie Magic show is less clear. When we tried to pull the show up on the Disney website, we got a “Someone Ate the Page” error message. This message often comes up when a page has been removed from the site. With that in mind, it makes us wonder if the Disney Movie Magic show is coming back at all. It’s possible that there is a glitch or other reason why the page isn’t currently available, so we’ll keep a close eye on the schedule in the coming days for any updates.

The good news is, if you are heading to Hollywood Studios in the coming week, you can still catch Fantasmic! every night (except June 5th, since the park is closing early for a private event), so you’re not totally out of luck for nighttime shows!
