REVIEW: We Tried 6 New Halloween Treats at Disney World and We Have THOUGHTS

New Halloween treats have arrived at Disney World!

Halloween treats

We’ve seen the Mickey pumpkin wreaths line Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom, partied all night at Mickey’s No So Scary Halloween Party, and now it’s time to dig into some spooky eats. If you’re looking for one place at Disney World where you can eat and sip your way into the frightful spirit, look no further than Disney Springs.

Our seasonal food adventure around Disney World has landed us a trip to Disney Springs to experience some of the newest eats and treats for the Halloween season. With so many limited-time treats to try, it’s hard to know what’s worth picking up and what you might want to save for later — but lucky for you, we’re taking a closer look some we picked up around Disney Springs and answer your burning questions about them.

Disney Springs

Our first stop over at Amorette’s Patisserie can give you quite a fright with all of the delicious treats you’ll find in one stop. In fact, we picked up 3 different treats here!

Amorette’s Patisserie

First up on our trio of treats was the Zero Cream Puff. This treat’s made of Pâte à Choux filled with caramel popcorn mousse and you can pick it up for $8.75.

Zero Cream Puff

This treat ranked among our favorites immediately and really tastes like caramel popcorn! It had a lot of caramel flavor to it while also giving notes of savory butteriness that you have with caramel corn. We were surprised at how well they really captured the flavor of caramel corn in this treat’s filling and how it wasn’t just a one note caramel flavor.

The puff was also crispy on the outside and the filling you’ll bite into was light and creamy.

The beautiful Coco Eclair was up next. It’s a Pâte à Choux filled with vanilla almond mousse and will cost you $8.

Coco Eclair

This one had a very strong pistachio flavor, but it wasn’t unpleasant. The whipped cream was a bit lighter on the flavor, but the filling was more prominently flavored and between the two of them we could see it being too much for some. The pastry itself was crispy on the outside and a bit soggy on the inside from the filling.

Overall, if you really like pistachio and almond flavors, you will probably really like this treat, however,  if you aren’t a huge fan or don’t like strong notes of these flavors, you’ll probably want to skip this one.

Last for this stop was the Ghost Entremet. It’s made of cookies and cream mousse, dark chocolate crispy pearls, and house-made chocolate chip brownie and you can grab it for $8.25.

Ghost Entremet

The presentation on this one is so hard to beat, I mean, just LOOK at it! The top part is made of a dome of whipped cookies and cream cookie dough. It’s fluffy and reminded us of the raw cookie dough that was all the craze for a bit. The brownie on the bottom tastes more like a fudge brownie and was pretty tough to cut into.

Cross section of the treat

It has a great chocolate flavor, but it is harder to cut through like a fudge brownie would be and was fairly dry. We certainly wouldn’t mind minded it being a bit more moist and fluffy.

Scoops real nicely

We flew on over to Marketplace Snacks in search of our next treat. Here’s where you’ll find the Trick-or-Treat Waffle. It’s made of Vanilla and chocolate soft-serve, SNICKERS bar pieces, TWIX cookie bar pieces, M&M’S Milk Chocolate Candies Halloween Blend, SKITTLES POP’d Original Freeze Dried Candy, chocolate fudge, caramel, and chocolate biscuit sticks and will cost you $9.49.

Trick Or Treat Waffle

The Cast Member making this waffle treat tried to warn us that it was a sweet tooth lover’s dream, and for good reason. With almost a dozen toppings over a vanilla and chocolate soft serve swirl, there’s something here for all kinds of candy enthusiasts. This thing is completely loaded with candy toppings, so much so you can barely even see the ice cream! It’s a LOT and it literally is like dumping a trick or treat bag on top of an ice cream waffle.

A closer look

The chocolate and vanilla swirled soft serve, was very simple, creamy, and cool. As much as we loved the idea of all of these sweet toppings sitting on top, this one might be a case of “be careful what you wish for.”  Sadly, we could only eat a couple bites before we had to admit defeat, but before then we were as happy as a kid digging into handfuls of candy treats. It’s worth a try but we would definitely recommend sharing with a friend or two. The waffle was made fresh, is fluffy, and had little Mickey heads on it which helped set it apart.

So much to scoop

Our final stop on the round for this visit was Swirls on the Water. Here we picked up a few treats starting with the Pumpkin Mickey Cone. It’s made of marshmallow, chocolate soft-serve, pumpkin waffle cone, Halloween sprinkles, and white chocolate pieces and will cost you $6.49.

Pumpkin Mickey Cone

While this cone is really cute, there wasn’t really anything special to it. It’s made with chocolate and vanilla soft serve, and while the cone is supposed to be a pumpkin waffle cone flavor, it didn’t taste super pumpkin-y to us. It had more of an orange flavor to it, but that’s all we could taste from the cone itself.

Hey, Mickey!

The Mickey topping was printed on a white chocolate piece, while there were some spooky sprinkles around the edges that added a nice crunch to the treat. Overall, it was a very cute, but fairly basic treat with chocolate and vanilla soft serve. We could see this one being a hit for someone looking for a tasty Halloween treat that’s not too adventurous.

Solid crowd pleaser

And our last treat we picked up here was The Sanderson Sisters Caramel-Apple Pie Sundae. It’s made of green apple soft-serve, caramel soft-serve, apple pie filling, streusel topping, Halloween sprinkles, and white chocolate décor and will cost you $6.49.

The Sanderson Sisters Caramel-Apple Pie Sundae

We really enjoyed this one! The combination of caramel soft serve and green apple was lovely. The green apple had a light apple flavor to it that was crisp tasting without being overly tart.

So delicious

The caramel soft serve was refreshing and added a lovely flavor of caramel. Together these two were delicious! The streusel topping was scooped all on the back side, but it really made it taste like an apple pie. The filling was just the two pieces of apple from what we could tell and there was a fun decoration on it. When you got a bite of everything together it was delicious.

There were so many great sweet and savory flavors mixed into these seasonal treats, and we’re still finding ourselves talking about them days later. If you’re looking to sample a little bit of everything that Disney World offers for fall flavors in one place, look no further than Disney Springs.
