There have been a ton of announcements for Disney World’s 50th anniversary, including the redesigned park icons, character costumes, attractions, and restaurants that will all make their debut.

We’ve been excited since the announcement about these festivities, but we are even more excited now that we’ve got a sneak peek of what to expect!

Thanks to Imagineer Zach Riddley, we were able to get a first look at the decorations that will transform Cinderella Castle for Disney World’s 50th anniversary! Cast members are hard at work to build jewels, ribbons, and more with a unique paint finish to celebrate the occasion.

When Imagineers started the design package for the Cinderella Castle, they had to consider that “it’s blue, it’s gold, it’s grace.” They looked to Mary Blair’s vision in the Cinderella film for inspiration to bring their vision to life. So, they decided to make the crown jewel of the Magic Kingdom “a rose gold, shimmering castle made out of iridescent material.”

And, Disney World’s official color scheme across the parks is “EARidescent,” so we can expect to see a LOT of these vibrant colors around the park soon! We can’t wait to see Cinderella Castle and the rest of Disney World in person during the 50th anniversary celebration. Stay tuned with All Ears for more Disney news!
