Disney World Files NEW Permit For Changes At Hollywood Studios

We’re just over a month away from the opening of The Walt Disney Studios in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is the new area taking the place of Animation Courtyard.

This new area will have so much for all ages to check out, and we’re getting close to its partial opening date of May 26th. While not everything will be opening on that date, the courtyard will be open for guests to enjoy, as well as “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!,” which is the new show taking the place of Disney Junior Play & Dance. Most recently, we just saw the iconic Sorcerer Mickey hat come back to the park in the new land, but now there’s MORE news — a new permit has been filed for signage!

This new permit is to install signage in the Walt Disney Studios area. There are numerous spots this new signage could be for. It could be for “The Magic of Disney Animation” building, which is taking the place of Star Wars Launch Bay. This is where the new Sorcerer Mickey hat was just installed, so while this section of the new land isn’t expected to open until later this summer, now that the Sorcerer Hat is installed, it’s possible signage could be next. Or, it could be at the theatre that houses “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” to help identify the new land.

The contractor installing the signage is Kentavo, which is a company Disney frequently works with on projects such as these. Whatever the signage is, we’re hoping we’ll be able to see it from in front of the walls, or from a bird’s-eye view, thanks to @bioreconstruct’s flyovers.
