This big change at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is going to have Muppets fans screaming, “Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me!”

Hollywood Studios will eventually be home to a Monsters, Inc. Land! Monstropolis will be going where Muppets Courtyard used to be, and construction has been underway for months. We’re still quite a ways away from this brand-new land being open for guests, but we’ve been tracking the process, and a big change has officially happened!
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
Let’s get one thing straight — you can be excited and mourn at the same time. We are beyond thrilled and excited about the new Monsters, Inc. Land, but we are still mourning the loss of Muppets Courtyard. Just as we felt like we were getting over it, Disney had to hit us with THIS, and now we’re back to square one.

The Muppet Vision 3D sign is officially GONE! The has come…there is not a piece of Muppets that exists here anymore, besides blank and empty buildings.

Now that Disney has removed everything on the outside of the building, we’re wondering what the next step is in the construction phase. We doubt we’ll see anything taken down, since it looks like the theatre is in the concept art for the new land. Maybe we can expect to see some exterior design soon.

Muppets may be leaving this part of the park, but they will still live on in another part of the park, as they move to Sunset Boulevard! Next year, The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. So it’ll be the best of both worlds, as we’ll be jamming with The Muppets and enjoying Monstropolis.

The ride is called Electric Mayhem and is set to open in the Summer of 2026. Disney shared that a first of it’s kind Muppet Animatronic will be a part of the attraction. The ride will feature an animatronic Scooter and the penguin audio engineers, as they work hard to get Electric Mayhem to make it on time to their concert.

The concept of the ride is pretty similar, as we will be getting a VIP tour of G-Force Records, but it is now under new management by The Muppets! We’ve also been told that G-Force Records has a new, unique look, as Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, has taken over.

The future of Hollywood Studios is looking BRIGHT, and we can’t wait to see how it all unfolds! For more Disney news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to AllEars.
