Listen, we love hearing what you all have to say about Disney World — sometimes even more than we love being there ourselves! (Okay, almost.) One of our favorite things about the AllEars Facebook community is how wildly different everyone’s opinions can be. Some of you swear by certain rides, while others would rather skip them altogether — and honestly, that’s what makes these conversations so much fun.

So, we decided to ask a question that always brings out the best takes:? What Disney World ride or attraction do you absolutely adore, even though other people can’t stand it? And, as alwasys, you did not disappoint. You made us laugh, you made us nostalgic, and — in the case of reader Debbie — you reminded us that sometimes the best Disney moments come from getting a little jostled around on a wild ride through the galaxy.
Every time we do one of these posts, we’re reminded how much we love chatting with you all. Your comments don’t just fill our timelines — they make us see the parks in new ways. Whether you’re Team Figment Forever or living for that “real spaceship” Star Tours chaos, we love hearing every opinion. So before we dive into your picks, make sure you’re following us on Facebook so you can join in next time — because trust us, you’ll have thoughts.

Journey into Imagination with Figment
The majority of Disney World fans prefer the original version of Journey Into Imagination that opened in 1983 and introduced us to Dreamfinder and Figment! The second version of this ride (which started in 1999) did not include those beloved chaaracters — and was wildly unpopular as a result. When the third version debuted in 2002, people were happy to see Figment return, but we’re all still mourning the loss of Dreamfinder.

Some guests find the current version of the ride to be loud, a little obnoxious, and overstimulating, but not our reader Megan! Megan said, “I don’t care if people don’t like it, I don’t care if you think the moon is creepy.
Figment is a national treasure, there is never a wait, the song is catchy, he’s adorable. I’m willing to go down swinging on this one.”

This ride and Figment himself are nostalgic for many people, including our reader Ian, who said, “my late Nana and I bonded over the Figment character. She loved him and in turn I adopted the same love for the character.”

Not to mention that kiddos often love all of Figment’s antics, all the colors, and the song. If you love it, ride it all your heart desires! Many members of our team may choose to skip it, but that’s the beautiful part of your Disney vacation — it’s YOURS!

Star Tours
Star Tours is motion sickness central for many people, as you’re basically buckled into a box and being bumped around different places in the Star Wars galaxy (including underwater, in the middle of a battle, competing in a podrace, etc.), but the best part is that there are SO many storylines! You never know which one you’re going to get.

However, AllEars reader Debbie really loves the sometimes jerky nature of the ride, saying, “I don’t even care if it’s a video I’ve had before! I just think it’s so much fun to be jostled around like I’m on an actual spaceship flying through all those locations.”

Jostled around like you’re on a real spaceship is the LIGHT way of describing how wild this ride can be, but if you’re a thrill seeker, this is a great ride for you. If you are concerned about motion sickness, we recommend asking a Cast Member if you can be seated in the middle of one of the rows in the middle of the ride vehicle — the edges are NOT for the faint of heart.

Enchanted Tiki Room
While it’s not a ride, Enchanted Tiki Room is certainly an iconic attraction in the park, but reader Grant points out something very important about the popularity of the ride: “It has all the old Disney charm as Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion but gets no where near the attention/love. I feel like the only difference is that the Tiki Room isn’t a ride, but it isn’t like the moving vehicle factor in those other attractions is so thrilling. Tiki Room has the same wonderfully kitschy vibe, the same corny but great humor, same feeling of being enveloped in Disney magic, but for reasons that escape my understanding, not the same amount of love.”

AllEars reader Shannon also followed that sentiment by saying, “Or as I affectionately call it my beloved ‘Tiki Birds’. It doesn’t get the love it deserves. I could sing that classic song all day, every day.” This was one of the only Disney World attractions Walt Disney had a direct hand in creating and bringing to life, which makes it extra special, and could be why it’s the Disney show with (arguably) the most OG Disney vibe.

While these animatronics are pretty outdated for today’s time, for the time they debuted, they were a MARVEL, and sometimes stepping into this show is like traveling back in time to remember how things were in the parks without all the advanced technology we have now. Not to mention that the AC in here is fantastic, the song IS very catchy, and it’s a great way to beat the crowds in the middle of the park day.
“Why Have I Not Done This Before?” — Disney Adults (Including Us) Keep Skipping THIS in Magic Kingdom…But It’s a Mistake
Tomorrowland Speedway
We’ve got to admit to you right off the bat that most of our team has been on the Tomorrowland Speedway hate train for quite some time, but we have to say that our reader Jimmy gave us a new perspective: “Fumes? Sure. Loud? Of course. Large footprint? You know it. But…always has a line. Young’uns WANT to ‘drive’ their own race car. And how does it fit in the backstory of Tomorrowland? Well…*in the future*….all those kids *will* be driving. For most of them, it’s their first experience behind the wheel.”

Hey Jimmy, you make a great point — this ride usually averages between a 15-25 minute wait, and even higher during busy days, so there’s certainly a demand for it! Kids love driving their own cars! While we adults find bumping into the center track line we’re following every two seconds annoying, many of us maybe have also forgotten what it’s like to be behind the wheel of a “real car” and be able to drive when we can barely reach the pedals.

So what do you think about these “old-school” Disney World attractions now? Has our Facebook discussion changed your mind? I have to admit I’m probably gonna hit up the Enchanted Tiki Room more often now (thanks Grant and Shannon!).
