Disney’s Early Entry perk gives Disney World’s hotel guests the opportunity to enter each park — including Hollywood Studios — before the scheduled opening… as long as they’re in the right place.

In recent years, Early Entry has become one of the most popular perks offered to Walt Disney World Hotel guests.  Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels and select other hotels can take advantage of a 30-minute early entry into Walt Disney World theme parks every day of their stay (including check-in and check-out days). In my most recent visits to Disney’s theme parks, both as a guest and a 6+ year-long reporter covering the parks, I’ve often seen guests taking advantage of this offer.

However, there is one “rule” to keep in mind when heading to Early Entry at Hollywood Studios: Get on the right line! You see, there are several lines early in the morning at Hollywood Studios, including ones for hotel guests taking advantage of Early Entry, and one for non-hotel guests waiting for the park’s scheduled opening.

That may sound like common sense to simply get on the “right” line; however, it’s not that simple. Things can be very crowded outside the park in the morning, and it can be very easy to accidentally get on the wrong line and spend almost 10 minutes in place before realizing the Early Entry line is separate… not that we’re speaking from the experience of one of our team members or anything…
