Disney Has Quietly Made a Change to Transportation at EPCOT

There has been a change to the FriendShip Boats in EPCOT! If you are heading to EPCOT soon, you will want to know about this transportation change.

We love using the FriendShip Boats to travel around the World Showcase, but Disney just quietly made a change to its route that you need to know about.

The FriendShip Boats in EPCOT can be a great way to travel across World Showcase without having to walk all the way around. You will find four boat launches around the World Showcase in EPCOT; however, we haven’t seen all four used for years. Most recently, the FriendShip Boats have been running between the Canada boat launch and the Morocco boat launch; however, the route has now changed!

The Morocco boat launch is currently closed, so FriendShip Boats are now operating between the Canada boat launch and the Germany boat launch. When we spoke with Cast Members, they weren’t sure how long this change would last.

The good news is that the FriendShip Boats are still operating in the World Showcase, and this is great news if you need to get to Germany quickly. However, you may need to add some extra time if you plan on using the boats to get to the Morocco Pavilion or one of the pavilions closer to Morocco.

While the World Showcase FriendShip Boats will take you across the lagoon, you can also find additional transportation options to take you across the Disney World resort. At International Gateway, you will find the Skyliner and additional FriendShip Boats. The boats at International Gateway can take you to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
