CONFIRMED: Disney World Adds a NEW EPCOT Location to Its List of CLOSURES

Ever since Disney unveiled CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza in June 2024, it’s been clear they’ve been trying all kinds of different things to make the space really come alive.

You can see ¡Celebración Encanto! on the CommuniCore Plaza stage multiple times a day, which has been quite the hit, and Disney has tried several different interactive offerings inside CommuniCore Hall during seasonal festivals. It looks like now, to try something new, the area will be briefly closing this month to make way for a different experience.

According to Disney’s website, CommuniCore Hall will be temporarily unavailable from May 12th to May 26th as it transforms into GoofyCore at CommuniCore Hall.

This new offering is part of Disney’s Cool Kid Summer event happening around the whole resort. We don’t know much about what this new location will look like just yet, but Disney confirmed there will be DJ-led dance parties and fun games like “Loopy Limbo and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks.”

During this transition time, the Mickey & Friends meet and greet and CommuniCore Plaza will remain fully open. However, this does mean that the Farmer’s Feast Flower & Garden Festival booth will close for the time being. Not to fear, though! You’ll be able to grab some of the menu items from the Florida Fresh booth located just outside the building.
