Disney World is going through some serious changes and we’re pretty darn excited about them!

The Animal Kingdom retheme of DinoLand, U.S.A. into the new Tropical Americas land is already in progress, and the Villains Land and Cars area rethemes at Magic Kingdom are in progress, too. While those changes might be a ways away, we spotted a new permit for the retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster!
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is being rethemed into a new coaster starring The Muppets — and Disney fans have a lot of thoughts. No matter how you feel about it, though, progress is already moving forward! We spotted a new permit to…

…repaint the massive guitar that sits out in front of the ride!

The contractor on the permit is Harrison Contracting, and the description is to “sand, apply one coat of primer, and two coats HP finish.” The expiration date on the permit is one year from now, which likely means that this painting project will happen sooner rather than later.

Whether or not it’s related to the Muppets retheme remains to be seen, but it’s entirely possible! It’s hard to imagine Disney would repaint the guitar before changing it and getting rid of it altogether — if that’s even part of their plan.
According to Disney, “To make way for the monsters, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and more of their friends will be moving right along to Sunset Boulevard! But there’s more to the story: The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!”

We don’t have many details about the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster retheme just yet, but we’ll be on the lookout for any news we can get.

It is sad that Rock and roller coaster is going away. Why is everything being rethemed just for kids? Disney is supposed to be for adults also!! Muppets really
I wholeheartedly agree.
