Whether it’s your first time going to Disney World or your fiftieth, chances are you might run into a hiccup or two while you’re there.
It might be because of rainy weather, a missed Lightning Lane return time, or a ride closure altogether, and sometimes — it might be other Disney World visitors that rub you the wrong way. And, that’s precisely why we’re talking about the Disney World visitors you do not want to deal with under any circumstance.
The Toddler Who Missed Their Nap (Also Applies to Adults)
Disney World vacations aren’t really vacations — they’re jam-packed with rides, restaurants, experiences, and a whole lot of walking. That can make even the most well-adjusted toddler break down — especially if they haven’t taken the nap that they’re used to. This can also apply to adults (even more so if they’re drinking)! Don’t get caught in the crosshairs of an angry toddler.
Luckily, if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel or a good neighbor hotel, it’s usually pretty easy to get back to your room for a nap if you or your little one really need it in order to keep going for the rest of the day. There are also often quiet areas around the parks you can use as a nap spot for your little one in a stroller.
How To Soothe an Anxious Mind in Disney World
Line Jumpers
Listen, we all want to get to the front of the line as quickly as possible. That’s why most of us are at Disney World, after all. But you know what’s not cool? Cutting in front of a ton of people who waited in line the way they were supposed to!
Of course, this doesn’t apply when folks or kiddos need to urgently use the restroom or take care of an emergency and then quietly rejoin the line. But when your family of people 15-deep rolls past me to meet up with Meemaw who is by herself, then we have another story altogether. Also, how rude of you to make Meemaw wait in line after all she’s done for you.
People Who Are Rude to Cast Members
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Cast Members truly are the magic and the parks wouldn’t be the same without them. We know everyone has bad days, and things might go wrong on your trip, but the Cast Member you’re yelling at likely had nothing to do with it at all.
Being rude to Cast Members is just downright unacceptable and often won’t get you anywhere. If you’re nice to them instead, they might be able to help you out of a jam and be able to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your trip!
Sidewalk Stoppers
Have you ever been merrily strolling along through a Disney World park only to be stopped dead in your tracks by someone who decided to stop pin the middle of the sidewalk? Yep, us too.
We get it — Disney World is a confusing place if you’re not there every single day and you might need to check the map, or Mobile Order some food, or stop to talk to the other people in your party. But if you do, please step over to the side and out of the way of others who are walking!
The CREATURES
For better or for worse, Disney World is built on Florida swampland. And, Florida swampland happens to come with a lot of Florida swamp creatures. We’re talking roaches, spiders, snakes, rats, bees — if you name it, we’ve probably seen it scurry across our path at Disney World.
If you do see any sort of bug or animal on your visit, don’t panic! Try to leave them alone if you can, and if you need assistance just find the nearest Cast Member who will likely know what to do or who to call. Just beware of creepy crawlies and rats who are trying to cook your dinner.
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
