If there is one thing EPCOT is known for, it is probably lots of delicious food and drinks!
The park hosts four different festivals each year, all complete with a wide variety of food booths. Even when there is not a festival going on, you can dine your way around the World Showcase and discover so much amazing food.
We are in the parks every single day, so we learn a thing or two about items that you need to include in your park bag. One of our essentials is a set of reusable utensils.
While you can find utensil stations located all around the park, we have learned our lesson a few times that bringing your own set is a must. We have found ourselves trying to hunt down a fork while our food is getting cold. It is never fun when you can smell the delicious food in front of you, but you don’t have a fork or spoon to enjoy it with.
As well as feeling bad for grabbing a new set of utensils at each of the food booths. Of course, you could always pick-up a set and use them throughout the day, but we have also found the Disney utensils to leave a bit to be desired.
We have also had our fair share of moments where we struggled to cut through food because Disney utensils are definitely on the flimsy side. We have personally struggled with cutting into a steak with our Disney knife, and we never want a repeat of that.
These are just a few of the reasons who love to bring our own set of utensils. We know they are sturdy enough for a day of eating around EPCOT and they will always be ready to use when we need them.

I can’t tell you how many times in the last few trips have I been at risk for ingesting fork tines. Not even going for comments on the knife and digging into Ice cream with one of those spoon? I don’t think so. We bought these sets on amazon and the sets of straws in the cases with a brush cleaner as well. A quick trip to the rest room can clean it all out enough for using again later, and in a DVC bedroom, we run it through the dishwasher while sleeping. Each of us has our own, but I usually have all of them in my backpack for our group. Straws have carry cases too to keep them clean and the brush stores in one of my silverware cases (probably shouldn’t but hey I don’t want it cruising up my backpack
